This place has really went downhill for the past few years now. Not sure if that’s because of new management but quality of food and services has taken huge hit. I remember when I’d eat here almost every week and there souvlaki and gyros would be so fresh and tasty. Today food is bland and cold and portions are so much smaller. There’s no satisfaction eating this food anymore.

Cook does not wear mask while preparing food. In fact, he was rapping (singing) while grilling the food on the grill. I took a video. Manager said nothing to this cook about not wearing a mask or NOT SINGING while preparing the food. Will not go back until pandemic is over. Too risky.

So delicious, great food even at a late hour.

Good food at a good price. Only issue is they don't do credit cards. But food tastes good.

People here do not wear gloves while handling food. Subpar hygiene practices. Food apparently is good. If you want a good gyro, try Messini.

The food here was good - had chicken souvlaki dinner three times. They only accept cash which can be inconvenient. I’d also say their meals are overpriced although the quantities are good but still a little overpriced. Over $30.00 for two people. The restaurant itself isn’t anything spectacular in terms of decor and style. The customer service by a couple of the men at the cash hasn’t been overly great.

Used to love this legendary souvlaki spot but it seems to have had changes to staff and food.Potatoes were super bad, just plain steamed potatoes. Portions are smaller, salad less appetizing. Overall this went from 9/10 to a 4/10 mall greek food meal.

Perfect meals gyros dinner were my favorite & nice servers!:), tasty yummy it's worth dining in and ordering food trays for any occasions It's one of the best Greek restaurants we've ever been

Chicken souvlaki is hard to beat at Esquire. Good sized portions, Fresh grilled chicken right when you order. Open late so you can get your Greek food fix when everything else is closed.

great prices. great food. worth the wait when busy. this is a just visit Scarborough food spot. gyros, souvlaki and steak dinners are well worth their price. try the Greek fries and thank me later.

Such a bad experience I had. Not only had to wait for more than 15min for a basic sandwich, it was terrible to look at and horrible to eat.

A decent place. But not worth the hype. I heard Giro was a must try dish, but its beef was just okiesh. I liked the rice and the potatoes better. If I go there I will go there for rice coz it was done in butter and a good taste. Serving size is good enough for 2 people. (Depends on the appetite). We just ordered one and was enough for both of us.

Best souvlaki in town. Good prices and huge portions. They make the best tatziki out of any Greek restaraunt I have been to. It has a burger joint feel bit don't be fooled this is really good food.

Food was good, however the dressing on the salad was pretty flavorless. Definitely value for the money.

Great place chicken is so delicious, food is always made fresh however it does take about 20-30 minute wait to get your food and they only take cash but definitely worth the wait. This place has been around for many years but it does close I believe around 10 or 11 pm

Best greek food in Toronto for the best price there is. Been eating there for about 3 months now. The portions are huge for a very reasonable price. Keep it up guys!

An old favorite...best gyro on a Pita in the area!

Inexpensive. Reasonable quality. Open late. For a couple $ more than a Big Mac combo you can get a full chicken souvlaki dinner with rice, potatoes and salad. Much healthier and more filling. Pita wraps, gyros and sandwiches are all decent. Fixtures and tables need to be renovated. Tables generally not cleaned often enough but manageable.Added 2/3/20Guys, it's time to make more potatoes. Last few times you ran out and offered fries. Not everybody can handle the grease. Last order of three dinners we were supposed to get rice salad and fries. When we unpacked our pickup order there was no rice! Picture posted.

Poor food handling practices at this restaurant. Disappointing that the staff uses bare hands to handle the bread and gyros. I threw the bread away as soon as I got home. How about using tongs? And also use a separate set of tongs for raw chicken and cooked chicken. Also, now that we're trying to prevent the spread of covid, mask and gloves should be worn too and restaurant management should have distancing protocol for customers waiting for their food. It's unfortunate because the food is good but can't go back to a restaurant with poor food handling protocol.

If you want an amazing chicken dinner I would highly highly recommend coming here the one drawback would be cash only but other than that you can't go wrong

I’ve been coming here twice a week ever since my friend showed me this spot 2 months ago.. the portions are big and the Tzatziki sauce is to die for ! Just order before going because u may have to wait a good 30 mins because they’re super busy

Very slow bad service good food

I was delighted to witness customer service at its best. Great food and service.

Went there for the first time yesterday (July 19, 2020) and was hoping to have a good experience and be a regular but guy at the cash seemed to be in a bad mood right off the bat. While waiting for my order I noticed he kept playing on his phone and taking cash before coming over to the food prep area and grabbing buns with his bare hands without washing. This is the basics. Just unacceptable. I'd mention more things that I noticed but I'll just leave it at that.

Lowe's service the regular truck driver stop food they don't sanitize and they're not very friendly the food is so so

The food was very good and the portions were nice and large. The set up is kind of like a cafe where you order at the counter and bring your food on a tray back to your table. If you want a cup of water you need to ask for it. The only reason why I am not giving this restaurant 5 stars is because the tall gentleman at the salad bar kept looking at me in a very judgemental way whenever we would make eye contact. I didn't like that.

Extremely disappointed with the service at this restaurant. It should be noted I went to this restaurant during covid 19 to pick up food. The man handling the food was not wearing gloves and was perturbed when asked to do so. Also, there were no social distancing measures kept in the store while waiting in line. This a huge concern, and extremely negligent on their part given the current circumstances of covid 19. I would not recommend this place if you're concerned about your health. Also, staff handling food were not wearing masks. In addition, had to wait an hour to get my food.

guy making food, takes my bread with his hand, rolls it up in foil, gives me my food then takes my money, goes right back to the next order without washing his hands, last time I will eat here for sure. OH - salad does not come in a separate container ANYMORE, so soggy as heck by the time I got home. Threw the bread away.

Been coming here for nearly 10yrs now. Simply the best gyros in the city! Open late and the service is always great.

Had dinners of chicken and pork. The meat were over cooked and tough. Everything else on the plate were good. Dining area is a bit dirty. Cash only.

Delicious Greek food. The owner is friendly and makes it a great experience. It has been very busy every time we went, so be prepared to wait. The guys are all working fast and hard to fill all the orders. Serving size is amazing.

Lived in the Area Forever, it was decent in my teens..Now the wait is unbearable, expect 30+ min wait.Order literally any other Greek Place to Deliver and you can sit at home and have a better meal, for pretty much the same price.

Been going to there for years. Good takeout food. Dining in will be restored when this whole Virus thing finishes. Facilities could use some refreshing but good enough for a cheap quick meal. Ever since the pandemic started, you can call them to place your order, which was really lacking before.

One of the best Greek cuisine I've ever had. Grill items comes beautifully cooked fresh out of the grill. Fresh veggies with good rice portions makes it a great dinner choice. Have to mention the soft Greek potatoes. One of my favourites. I highly recommend trying the souvlaki chicken

Had takeout and had the pork, chicken, fish, gyros dinners. All of them were great. Good portion sizes. Staff seemed friendly too. Cash only.

Their best point is open till late night. The food is good but not something special or really high quality. What I get usually from Jimmy The Greek is better and lower price also. I have been there only one time that there was 2 old guys that would manage the customers and they were not friendly at all! Hope other people have better reviews from this place but this is what I experienced.

As I remembered it from 20+ yrs ago. Souvlaki dinner was delicious. A long wait and definitely understaffed but still a good meal

We had the chicken souvlaki on a pita and the whole thing was approaching perfection. The chicken was juicy and flavourful, the pita soft and warm. The garlic sauce was very good, and the veggies fresh. The staff are great, I think the only mild inconvenience is that they only take cash, but that doesn't bother me. I'll be back to try everything on the menu, I'm glad I work around the corner!

Delicious, homemade Greek food! Highly recommend to order before going because it could be a 45 minute wait otherwise.

I went in for chicken souvlaki on pita. It was sunday night 7pm. Restaurant was maybe 30% full. Staff was polite. Food was fresh and tasted good. Place was clean. Good prices.

This place is an underrated, hidden gem. The employees are so hard working, and if you're nice, they'll sneak you an extra piece of bread or garlic or what have you! So good! Amazing food, great workers :) they deserve more recognition
